The Consuegra windmills and La Mancha's windmill route, with a map

The Consuegra windmills stand on Cerro Calderico above the town, next to La Muela castle; the car drives right up. From there the windmill route continues east through Campo de Criptana and Alcázar de San Juan to Mota del Cuervo, with El Toboso a short detour: they are villages on La Mancha wine route, so a winery fits in the same day.

Price from every town in the province on How to get to the Consuegra windmills with a private driver.

Why by car rather than by bus?

The villages on the route are twenty or thirty kilometres apart and buses link them infrequently and separately. The windmill hill is also outside the town and uphill. With a driver every stop fits in one day and nobody has to drive after a tasting.
