VTC fleets in Toledo: how you operate with the platform, how jobs are assigned and paid, and what the fleet-management software does

A partner fleet brings its authorisations and its drivers; the platform brings the customers, the fixed price, the trip sheet and the payment. Each job booked in Toledo is offered to the fleet with its amount and the fleet assigns it to one of its cars from its panel; the customer pays by card and the money lands in the fleet's own Stripe Connect account, with the published commission deducted automatically. The fleet-management software, included for partner fleets, tracks expiry dates, expenses, maintenance, mileage and the split with each driver. The typical demand is Toledo or La Sagra to Barajas: Toledo to the airport is 93 km and about 68 min.

What demand reaches a fleet in Toledo, and from where?

The province has two distinct markets that a fleet can cover with the same cars. The northern one, La Sagra, is the airport and Madrid market: Barajas transfers at any hour, Atocha and Chamartín stations, appointments at Madrid hospitals and the shift changes at the Illescas and Seseña logistics parks, which are corporate jobs with a monthly invoice. The central and southern one is Toledo city — high-speed station, University Hospital, old town, Puy du Fou — and, less often but with more kilometres, Talavera, the Mesa de Ocaña and La Mancha toledana, with connections to Madrid and medical transfers to the University Hospital.

For a fleet that means spreading the cars: keeping one or two in La Sagra for the early departures and the Barajas arrivals and the rest in the capital yields more than bunching them together. The reference figures come from the route engine and are what the customer sees: Toledo to Barajas, 93 km from 129,93 €; Illescas to Barajas, 59 km from 90,41 €; Talavera to Barajas, 140 km and about 101 min.

How is a job assigned within the fleet?

The customer books at a fixed price and the job enters the zone's queue. The partner fleet sees it in its partner panel with the amount it will be paid and accepts it for one of its cars: it can assign it to a specific driver or let the first free one of its own take it. From there the driver carries it in the app like any other — navigation, states, trip sheet generated before departure — and the fleet sees in its panel the status of all its jobs for the day, which car is on each and what is still unassigned.

There are three rules the network does not negotiate: the fixed price agreed with the customer is what is charged, with no on-board surcharges; the pickup time is the one paid for, with the courtesy wait the operator publishes; and no car solicits on the street or at a rank, because the service is always pre-booked. A fleet that misses a pickup without warning loses assignment priority, and the customer, who has paid in advance, is served by another car.

How does the fleet get paid, and what about the commission?

The fleet is paid into its own bank account, not the platform's: the customer pays by card when booking and the amount lands in the fleet's Stripe Connect account with the published commission — 15% of each job — separated in the same movement. Cash collected on board belongs to the fleet and is deducted from the next settlement. Every Monday the weekly summary arrives with every job, its amount, the commission on each and the tips, which belong to the driver and carry no commission; nothing appears in the settlement that cannot be matched to a specific trip.

Non-payment is not the fleet's risk: if the customer does not show or the card fails, the job performed is still settled, and late cancellations are paid under the published policy. Anyone who prefers to keep their own customers and prices has another formula, the platform as a tool for a fee per licence per month, which the fleets page explains and which is not on sale yet.

What does the fleet-management software do?

It is the part a Toledo fleet usually keeps in a spreadsheet and a drawer: expiry dates for each car and each driver (roadworthiness test, insurance, authorisation, transport card, licence), expenses per vehicle (fuel, maintenance, AP-41 and R-4 tolls, Barajas parking), mileage, claims, income from every platform the fleet works with — not only this one — and the split with each driver according to the agreement with them. It warns before anything expires and produces the month's result per car.

For partner fleets and those in the partners network it is included; a fleet that does not work with the platform can subscribe to it on its own, by the month. What it does not do is promise results: it shows the fleet's numbers as they are, which is what you need to decide whether one more car in La Sagra pays off.

What paperwork does joining require, and how do you start?

Valid VTC authorisations in the fleet's name, passenger-cover insurance for each vehicle, the roadworthiness test and registration document, and the drivers' licences; the platform checks them at sign-up and watches the expiry dates. The trip sheet and the filing with the national services register are generated by the platform before each job for every car in the fleet. The application is sent from the fleets page or from the partners and operators page, with the number of authorisations and the area; sign-up opens the fleet's panel and its payment account.

Frequently asked questions

Is the fleet paid into its own account or the platform's?

Its own: the customer pays by card and the amount lands in the fleet's Stripe Connect account, with the published commission separated in the same movement. Cash collected on board belongs to the fleet and is deducted later.

Can the fleet choose which driver does each job?

Yes. From the partner panel the fleet accepts the job and assigns it to a specific driver, or lets the first free one of its own take it.

Does the fleet-management software cost a partner fleet anything?

For partner fleets and those in the partners network it is included. A fleet that does not work with the platform can subscribe to it on its own, by the month.

How much is Toledo to Barajas, the typical job?

93 km and about 68 min, from 129,93 € according to the route engine; it is the price the customer sees and on which the commission is calculated.

The published commission, courtesy waiting time and cancellation policy are the panel settings when the page is opened. Kilometre, minute and price figures come from the route engine; none of this promises a volume of jobs.
